It's the weekend!

I'm so ready for it to be the weekend. It's been a pretty rough week. I went to my appointment on Monday. Everything is still looking good and I'm measuring right on. I go back next Weds for my next appt and the Group B Strep culture. We will see then how things are going and if I'm dilated at all. I don't know if I am but I can hope! :) I don't like having to wait until Weds but they are closed Monday and no midwives are in on Tues for some reason. So then I will turn around and go the following Monday again because I'm off on Mondays so my appointment needs to be then. Hopefully they don't get mad about that!

I did have some upper back pain the other night. It was so bad that I got sick from it. Not sure what was going on there. It did stop for most of yesterday though and then it has come back some today again. Not sure if it is form the way she is laying or what but it doesn't feel good at all. I am taking some regular strength Tylenol and that helps some but I don't like to take too much of anything right now so I try not to take it unless I am really hurting. I also have started to get some pelvic pressure so that could be a sign of something? We will see!

We did finally get our crib mattress in the mail the other day. So that means this weekend I can put her bedding set on her crib finally! My sister bought our pack and play yesterday and a bottle set for us. And on Monday me and Ben are going shopping and picking up the rest of the things we need. There is still stuff we need from both stores so that should be fun. I'm excited to get the rest of our stuff and get everything put away and be done with it until she's here.

So plans for the 4th....Ben is going out of town. Not too happy about it but it's kind of his last chance before the baby. I don't want him to go but I know he won't be bale to go in the next few weeks because I could go at any time and even though he's only 2 hrs away that's too far if I do go in to labor. So he will be d own at the farm and I'm not doing much of anything tomorrow but Sunday I am going to my godmothers house in Austintown for the parade and a cookout at her house. She has a pool so I will probably take a dip in there. I think that's all my plans for this weekend since I just want to lay around and hopefully my back stops acting up!

I will need to come back and post pictures but Ben's cousin (who was due 10 days before me) had her baby this past Sunday, June 27th. She is absolutely adorable! She was born on 6/27 at 7:19 am, she was 7 lbs 4 oz and 19 in long. Kind of scares me because she was three weeks early and that would be next week for me! Everyone keeps saying they think I will go early but I'm not so sure. She seems quite comfortable in there and not ready to come out yet. But I know that could change overnight and plus I want people to stop saying that - they are going to get my hopes up! LOL!

Well i think that's all the updates I have for now. I will come back and post pics of the baby and from the 4th! Happy 4th of July everyone!

Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter Everyone!

Since our anniversary is coming up we went out last night with my parents to celebrate. We went and had dinner at Hoggy's in Independence. It was really good. Everyone had been there before but me! It was a BBQ place and it was pretty darn good! We will be going back there. Then we went and saw Clash of the Titans in 3D. Not my pick but everyone else wanted to see it so I went for them. It was different because I don't think I've ever been to a 3D movie before. Again, not a movie that held my interest but that's ok.

I also want to say a big CONGRATS to our friends Melanie and Brian. Their son Mason William was born last night (Saturday, April 3) at 9:19 pm. She did end up having to have a c-section because after being induced Friday night at 7:30 she had made no progress at all. He was 9 lbs 12 oz and 21.5 in long. Because he was so big they don't think she would have been able to deliver him naturally anyways so it worked out for the best. He is currently in the special care unit though due to Mel being diabetic and the baby needing to get used to no insulin. He will be fine though but they have to watch him so they moved him down there. We did go up and visit this morning but we weren't able to hold him because he was in that unit. But we did get to visit with him and I will have to come back and post pictures. I am going over tomorrow as well so maybe he will be out of there if things go well tonight with regulating his sugar.

We did spend Easter at Ben's Grandpa's house. He made a huge feast as usual - ham, chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, peas/corn, buttered noodles, coleslaw and rolls. I'm still so stuffed I feel like I can't move!! It was Ben's grandpa, me, Ben, Ben's mom, her boyfriend, my mom and my stepdad. My parents didn't really have anywhere to go for Easter so they came to his house. It was good to see them :) And it was such a beautiful day out so it was nice to be able to relax outside. It was one of the first Easter's in a while that it hasn't snowed or rained around here.

Well this week I am supposed to be on jury duty so we will see how that goes. I know I don't have to report tomorrow but not sure if I will be called at all the rest of this week. Hopefully not seeing as I have plenty to do at work. But we will see!!

Have a great week everyone!

July 4th

So this year we decided to go out of town for the4th of July which we never do! It was fun to get away for the weekend while my parents stayed with the puppies. We went to Salt Fork to Ben's Grandpa's Farm. Ben helped mow most of the time while I sat around and read my books (had to read the 6th Harry Potter again to get ready for the movie to come out next week!). There was tons food and it was a great and peaceful time down there! We literally were in the middle of nowhere...it was about 4 miles on a gravel road to get to the farm. I've been there only 2 times before but I'm so happy we went. And I even got Ben to take me to the fireworks in Cambridge since we weren't getting to go to Akron's! They were really neat for such a small town.

It is really the middle of no where- view off the front porch

So in other news...I'm back to watching my food a little better. It wasn't easy while I was gone over the weekend and at the beginning of this week with cake at work for a co-worker. And for some reason all last week I was craving ice cream. So needless to say I went back up slighty. I'm still down 5.5 lbs but I am going to get back on track from here on out!

Work is going well, kind of busy right now. I am worried that some people may be leaving my department but it's ok. It's good for them we will just miss them. I just hope some people that have the power to do so, will make the decisions that need to be made to keep them around instead! Also, I'm excited to be going to San Antonio in August for another tradeshow. I will be going with one of my co-workers, Corey, who I absolutely love. We will have such a good time there!

Also, I have a wedding to go to this weekend. I was supposed to be in it but Ben had just gone back to work at the time and I couldn't afford the dress for another month and she was anxious to get them order. I'm pretty sad that she didn't wait for me to get mine because I would have liked to been in her wedding since she was in mine. But it is what is it. I'm excited for her and her fiancee. She will also be moving to Michigan so I will miss her even more! Hopefully, she will come home once in a while and I will be able to keep up with her over the internet. So I will have pictures to post from that i'm sure after this weekend! Her bachelorette party is tomorrow night so I will be going to that but we are just doing dinner. But I might have pictures from there too!

Well I think that's all for now...

Easter 2009

So this year we decided to stay home for once for a holiday! We got up and went to church and my mom met up there. Then I came home and napped :) I woke up and got to work on the Easter feast! We had ham, butter noodles, homemade mashed potatoes (courtesy of my loving husband!), chessy green beans (a tradition) and rolls. It was so good and I'm glad we finally got to stay home for once for a holiday! It was nice to be able to stay in my sweats.

In other news...well there's not much. Still workin, Ben's still not working. We are still hopin' and prayin' for something REAL soon. We need it - Bad...but he's trying. It's just a bad world out there right now. We are lucky he has unemployment or it could be much much worse. Other then this...just waitin for it to get warm outside for good. It keeps teasin' us then getting cold again! I can't stand it much longer.

Valentine's 2009

Of course I'm a week behind again! Last weekend we went out to celebrate Valentine's Day. Normally we don't celebrate it because it's not really a holiday to us but our friends asked if we wanted to go so we went. It was quite a bit of a wait since we didn't have reservations and that sucked big time but it was really good so it was worth the wait! We went to Japanese Steakhouse in Montrose called Wasabi. It was delicious. Now Ben and our 2 friends Kyle and Liz have never been there before so they were pretty excited about it. I've been a few times but it's been at least 2 years. Afterwards we went to a bar called Brubaker's for a drink (and I will never go there again, the girls that were serving there were rude). Overall, a great night out! We will be going back - when we have reservations :)

Our cook - poor guy was so tired. I think we were his last table...

And of course Liz and me :)

This week and weekend have not been that exciting...worked a lot that's about it. I have started to go out to my stepdads house to help him clean up his shop a bit. I am trying to get out there a few nights a week and help him out. He's not a good one with organizing or keeping clean. And he has a really hard time throwing things out. So we are working on that :) He had a lot of invoices that needed filed. His computer also got wiped out last year so we are going to work on rebuilding his customers in the software. Fun fun! Ben has been working a lot also. He is off tomorrow so I don't know what we are going to do. Might go to church in the morning and then maybe go to Kyle and Liz's so Ben can get his haircut. I'm going to try to do better and keep this more up to date :)

Happy New Year Everyone!

So today is 1/1/09 and I am glad we are in a new year. Don't get me wrong 2008 had some great times but I'm ready for a new year and being able to start again.

2008 is first and foremost the year that me and Ben got married :) This was definitely the highlight of my year and I couldn't be happier. It is also the year that I got my new position at GOJO which I'm still not fully transitioned out of my old but it's coming in 2009!

I have decided that my New Year Resolution is to lose weight. I know...haha. People always say that and then don't follow through. Well I am hoping that I do! Ben is on board with me (since his doctor told him he had to lose weight!). So we will be eating healthier, doing some exercise (and in the summer we will probably start walking outside) and just taking better care of ourselves. I really would like to drop a few sizes and I'm hoping I can accomplish that!

So Happy New Year's Everyone!

Christmas Day 2008

On Christmas Day we go to my family's house in Pennsylvania and this year was no different. My mom came over and picked us up since it is on the way out to PA for them. We opened up our gifts from them first. She had bought me a coat the weekend before and then she got me an apple reed diffuser and apple candles for my kitchen, perfume, an ornament for me and Ben's first Christmas married, a silicone baking set . She also bought me some clothes on Black Friday. Ben got a gift card for Macy's, Gamestop, and McDonalds (don't ask...LOL). He also got a pair of jeans and cologne. After we opened our gifts we headed to PA to visit with my family. Lots of good food and of course a good time. It was a long 2 days but so worth it :)

Christmas Eve 2008

Well this year was the typical Christmas run around! On Christmas Eve we always go to Ben's dad's side of the family and then off to his mom's side.

So I worked 1/2 day on Christmas and then came home and got ready. We went to Ben's Aunt Cindy's house at around 5. Most people showed pretty quickly. We snacked mostly and hung out. Then around 7:30 his Grandpa handed out the gifts (we draw names since there are so many people - Ben's cousin Carmie Jo got us and we got Ben's cousin Ronnie who lives with us anyways). Carmie Jo got us a huge picture frame and picture paper for my printer. It was a pretty good time and for once no one cried which is always a feat with Ben's family!

Then it was off to Ben's mom's side of the family. This year his mom was in town so that was fun. We got a bunch of wonderful gifts from her and Ben's uncle and grandpa! They are so wonderful to us :) Lots of gift cards and I got my first Willow figurine. I got a really nice Akron Zips hoodie and Ben got a nice Michigan one.

Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder

I can't believe how long it has been since I have posted. I have just been super busy lately with a lot of different things but mostly work.

I have officially moved my desk but my role does not seemed to have changed like it was supposed to. My boss informed me that he needs me to manage his calendar still (hopefully at the end of this week coming up that will end, he said it will but we shall see). I have a gazillion (ok not that many but it feels like it!) interview candidates coming in for different positions right now. I am really pretty sick of doing it at this point and i was just given more to do, both first and second round. Not really happy about it. I am just through with all of it. Plus, I am getting so many things to for my new job which I love but I can't get around to them and I hate telling my new boss that but it's the truth. Now I also have goals to start working on for next year that I need to work on and I just don't know how I will find the time until the hire someone. But then there will be trianing and learning so it will probably be another month and a half before I finally get a break....I'm hoping for sooner but doubt it. Alright enough of the complaining...

I have been doing a ton of cleaning lately and that is making me feel better about things around here but I still have plenty left to do! Everything just looks a mess to me! Hopefully this winter I will get motivated to get more things cleaned up and out.

I can't believe this week is Thanksgiving already! I have to say that I have much to be thankful for this year, my husband, my family, my friends, my home, my puppies and kitty, my job, and so many more things.

Wow

I can't believe how long it's been since I wrote last! Time has just flown these last few weeks, I have had both good and bad things going on.

As far as my job,I'm still doing the old position. We should be starting to interview for my position soon...we shall see. My boss has been pretty busy and he is the one who needs to be there! I know I'm movin' come hell or high water on Nov. 15 though so tomorrow is the day I talk to him and lay the boundry lines for what I will/will not take when I move. Hopefully he will agree...maybe... :)

Everything else has been pretty mundane besides that. We did go to a Halloween Party this past Saturday and Tim and Christina's (we know them through our friend's Melanie and Brian). Unfortunately I was colder then anything and we were outside. Even though I was in a kind of warm costume I was still frozen to death. I don't know how the others with outfits with a little less on did it! I was literally in front of the warmer thing they had in the tent and I was still freezing. It was a good time and most of our friends did a great job of dressing up this year. Maybe when I lose my 30 lbs I will wear one of those cute costumes too *wink wink*. So here are some pictures from this past weekend.
