Update and My Birthday!

So baby is doing alright right now. We took her to the ER on Sunday because she was SCREAMING almost all day Saturday and most of Sunday because she couldn't poop :( I just couldn't take it anymore and needed a peace of mind that it was nothing more serious. So we took her and she is ok. They recommended giving her apple juice and we also switched her formula back to the Similac fussiness and gas one, we had moved her to soy but they said that makes the stool hard. She just hasn't been herself the last few days though so that's sad to see. She is getting big though- she was 9.9 lbs when we were there on Sunday. Perfect for 9 weeks lol! She has outgrown most of her newborn stuff, she still kind of fits in it though. So she is mostly in that stuff still. I need to wash her 0-3 clothes. I don't know if I have a lot of those though - more of it is 3-6 months. I guess I just need to looks through it all again and see what we have! Sis smiling a lot more! She likes to look at things now so we have her bug that plays music on her car seat. We also are going to start putting her in her crib more when she is home so she can see her mobile. She is still sleeping in her bouncer or her boppy. Mostly in her bouncer at night by the bed right now - we need to start moving her to her crib though. I need to get the monitors set up though before we do that. We will still put her in the boppy in the crib to keep her upright so she doesn't have acid reflux problems.

Her baptism is on Sunday! We can't wait. Our friends Melanie and Brian, Kyle and Liz, my parents, my sister and her husband, Ben's mom and grandpa are who we know for sure will be there right now. There may be a few more but we aren't for sure yet. We are going to go out to breakfast afterwards as well.

My goddaughters 3rd birthday party is Sunday at 1 pm. I can't believe she is 3 already! So that is about all our plans for the weekend. Friday and Saturday I'm going to try to get her scrapbook done but we will see if I can. As long as I get some of it done I will be happy. I'm through her birth right now but I still have to do all the pictures from the hospital.

My birthday was this past Saturday. It was kind of a rough day though because like I said the baby was screaming and upset most of the day. I did go to lunch with my mom though at Swensons and then we went shopping at a few places and got the baby a dress for her baptism on Sunday. My mom got me a gift card to Wasabi (where we went for dinner Sat night), gift card to Kmart, and gift card to Archivers to get scrapbooking stuff. My sister got me a wall plugin from Yankee Candle and cash to go to another scrapbook store near my house. I'm very excited! I want to do a really good job on her scrapbook so I want to be sure I can get as much stuff as possible. Then Saturday night we left the baby at my parents and we went out to dinner wiht my sister and her husband, Melanie, Brian, Liz and Kyle. It was a pretty good time. No one was too happy about their bills though - it adds up so quick and they charged us the gratuity fee! After dinner me, Ben, Amy and Matt went to Muskateers for some drinks. It was a good time - we all got pretty drunk! I tried to count it but I'm not sure I got them all...I had at least 3 drinks and 9 shots at the bar alone. I did have 2 drinks at dinner too. So I was pretty wasted but it was a really good time. Except my camera got broken :*( Hopefully I can get kodak to fix it without it costing me anything. We got home around 2 am. I didn't get to sleep much though because my mom had to be at work at 6 am and so I had to get up with the baby. So I was pretty cranky on Sunday but I wasn't sick at all!

Again, you will need to see my facebook for all my pictures. I just takes too long to upload them on here...I might do a few in a minute though!

I think that's all for now! More updates after her baptism Sunday :)

Liz's 24th Birthday

For Liz's birthday, Mel, Brian, Kyle and Liz went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Then everyone meet them back at their house to drink and hang out. It was a good time mostly, there was some drama involving one of Liz's friends from high school but I won't say what that was here. Liz also got a cake from Reeve's that Mel bought her.

Trent wanted cake too!

How time flys!

Wow I can't believe it's been almost a month sinceI wrote on here...so many things have been going on!

Work is still insane. I'm working on my days off usually right now but the overtime is nice so I don't mind. Plus it's less of a mess that I come in to the next day.

My birthday was Sept 11, I will probably do another post about this. It was a great night and all of our friends were there! I was happy to have everyone around :) I will do another post with details and pictures!

Sept 12 my cousin Ryan got married to Kelly. That will probably be another post as well. It was a good wedding - but more on that later as well!

On Sept 18th we celebrated Liz's birthday. Probably another post also, or I will put it with my birthday post. They went to dinner but we didn't go because we don't have the money right now. Then it was an interesting night but it was a good time!

I've been going to all of Mel's appointments with her. She just had one this past Monday (I forgot to take a picture of her but I think I will get one tonight!). She was 12 weeks on Tuesday I believe. She is doing better, not as sick but feeling very tired.

My mother in law will be here in about 4 or 5 weeks to stay with us. Her boyfriend will go back to Arizona and stay at the house there until it is sold. The only thing I am not happy about is her dog coming. I don't need another dog in this house, it's already bad enough. Plus she is a small dog so I'm afraid mine will trample her. We will see how she does with Duke. He doesn't do well with other dogs that he doesn't know. So we will see! I will be grateful for the help his mom will provide financially though. That will be a nice break! Plus she likes to cook and clean so that will help out also.

Work has been crazy and hasn't slowed down at all. I really think it's getting worse, which I expected but it's just insane. Plus it's the time of year when people are out sick so I'm constantly worrying about getting sick!

As far as my weight loss, I'm down about 22 lbs from where I started. But from my highest it's around 27 lbs. It sucks though becuase most of my clothes don't fit, well my pants for work at least, and we really don't have the money to buy any more. Maybe one day...

Other then that, not much else has been going on. I come home, make dinner, and go to sleep most nights. On the weekends I clean and do laundry. Not much time for anything else at this point!!

I will try to keep this thing better updated, at least for myself because I don't think anyone really reads this. I want to keep track of things better though so I will try!

Hello Long Lost Blog!

So I haven’t written in a while but I need to do an update! Things have just been pretty busy since we got back from the 4th of July! First up was Nick and Lydia’s wedding on July 11th. It was a really beautiful wedding and I’m so happy for the two of them. After a beautiful honeymoon at Sandals, they are now in Michigan and enjoying it up there! Nick's job is based out of there and Lydia is working on getting a teaching job there since she just graduated with her Masters.

The next day we had Ben’s grandma’s surprise 70th birthday party (July 12th). His grandma thought she was going to Olive Garden and then someone was going to pick her up and bring her down to Ben’s Aunt the lives two houses up from us to “pick her up to go” and then we would surprise her. Ben’s aunts were supposed to be the ones to pick Ben’s grandma up but Ben ended up being the one to pick her up. It still went off and she had really no idea even after seeing the balloons and everything in the front of the house. She was mad though because she wanted her Olive Garden. But it was a good time with almost the whole family there. I have lots of pictures to post from that day! I’m going to make a slide show of the whole day and I took some video so that will be really nice to have.

Next up was our friend Kyle’s birthday the next weekend (July 18th). We went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse and then we went back to Liz and Kyle’s house. We decided we were going to stay the night there at the last minute so we could drink and not have to drive home. I got really wasted, probably worse than I’ve ever been except for once or twice. Some interesting pictures came out of the night but I will stick to the good ones when I post them! We went to breakfast the next morning at Bob Evan’s…I just had fruit. It’s all my stomach could handle.

The following weekend we really didn’t do a whole lot because I was tired of running around. We did go to our friend Rob and Rachelle’s house Friday night to swim and hang out. It was ok until Rachelle started yelling at Rob in front of everyone. Long story but it was still a pretty good time. I think other than that we pretty much hung out at home all weekend and relaxed.

This past weekend on Friday night, we had game night at our house. Melanie, Brian, Kyle and Liz came over and we played board games with them. My mom found a bunch of my old games from my old house (it’s being rented right now so the games were still in the basement). So I have like 3 different Monopoly versions, 2 Clue’s and a bunch of older games. My favorite has to now be Outburst which my mom actually gave me – she got it as a wedding gift a few years back and never had opened it! Then on Saturday was Melanie and Brian’s 5th wedding anniversary party. They just did something small at their house with family and friends. It was a good time. Mel picked me up at 1 pm so I could help her get set up for the party. I brought my laptop and did some music for us to listen to. We just had rigatoni, salad and rolls to eat but it was still good. We hung out there pretty much all night and had a good time but I was tired from being there all day.

So I think that’s about all the catching up on events. Now as far as work goes, it’s not too bad. We are just still going crazy with orders because of swine flu and with the fall coming up which is always a bigger season for us. I started my four 10 hour days this week which have been ok so far. It was really nice having Monday off but it’s been a struggle getting up earlier and staying later. But I am adjusting already so I think it will work out!

I am down to a total weight loss of 14.5 pounds! I’m so excited but none of my clothes fit. I did just buy two new shirts for my trip to San Antonio (Aug 18 I leave for work!) which are dressy shirts but I need to get more pants for work! Most of my shirt fit still but my pants are getting too big! I am still trying to hit 20 pounds before I leave but I don’t think that will happen. But that’s ok! I’m happy with where it’s going and I just need to crack back down on my eating because I’ve been a little lax lately about it. I am still walking every day and I’m trying to walk the neighborhood at night if I have the energy and it’s nice out. So wish me luck!!

I’ve also started a huge project to back up my pictures on CD’s and on to Shutterfly and remove them from my computer. It ran out of space last weekend for me to add more pictures so I need to do it! It’s been a not so fun process but I have this need to double back them up just in case. I would hate if anything happened to some of my pictures. So that’s pretty much what I’ve been working on at night right now until I get through them all. They are on CDs but it’s just backing them up to the website that’s taking a while.

I think that’s all of my updating for now. I will be back to post pictures later!

Night out and Memorial Day '09

I'm so behind on this! I keep tellin' myself I will keep it caught up and then I keep being lazy!

So here it is...Saturday before Memorial Day me and Liz went out. It was one of the first warm nights so we finally decided to start our summer bar routine :) It's just so much more fun when it's nice out! We had many some drinks and a good girl night out. It started to get humid towards the end of the night but we loved every minute of it. It was our first official night out!

Towards the end of the night - don't know what her face is about! LOL!

For Memorial Day, Liz and Kyle had everyone over to their house for the first time together. His parents and her's came over also. It was a fun and late night! Lots of food and fun...

He's too cute

The little family :)

Ben and me

The girls - me, Mel and Liz

The boys - Rob, Brian, Ben and Kyle

I'm not sure what else I'm forgetting but I'm sure there is! So I will be back with another post as soon as Iremember can.

Mother's Day 09

So last Saturday I cooked dinner for my parents - it was my step dads birthday. I made lasagna and they loved it! Then, we went out with our friends Kyle and Liz. As you will see we had WAYYY more fun then the boys did. They simply tolerate it for us and we love them for it :)

Don't they look like they are havin' fun!

We were :)

There's a smile at least

Love her <3

Then on Sunday was Mother's Day. My mom wanted to go to a restaurant in Richfield called Memories. They were having a buffet. It was a good time and I love my momma so much for everything so does for us!
Me and sis
Ben, Momma and Eric
Matt, Amy and Matt's son, Josh
Overall, it was a good weekend last weekend! I have been really lazy this weekend and haven't gotten much accomplished. Mostly due to weather - rain yesterday and cold today. Things are still kind of hectic at work right now. But it keeps life interesting. Things are really rough at home right now due to Ben being out of a job. I keep hoping for the best but I'm mostly in a permanent depression stage about a lot of things right now. I try not to be but sometimes I just can't help it. Oh well - he's to hoping something comes a long soon....

Valentine's 2009

Of course I'm a week behind again! Last weekend we went out to celebrate Valentine's Day. Normally we don't celebrate it because it's not really a holiday to us but our friends asked if we wanted to go so we went. It was quite a bit of a wait since we didn't have reservations and that sucked big time but it was really good so it was worth the wait! We went to Japanese Steakhouse in Montrose called Wasabi. It was delicious. Now Ben and our 2 friends Kyle and Liz have never been there before so they were pretty excited about it. I've been a few times but it's been at least 2 years. Afterwards we went to a bar called Brubaker's for a drink (and I will never go there again, the girls that were serving there were rude). Overall, a great night out! We will be going back - when we have reservations :)

Our cook - poor guy was so tired. I think we were his last table...

Me and Ben (I was pretty tired at this point)

Liz and Kyle

And of course Liz and me :)

This week and weekend have not been that exciting...worked a lot that's about it. I have started to go out to my stepdads house to help him clean up his shop a bit. I am trying to get out there a few nights a week and help him out. He's not a good one with organizing or keeping clean. And he has a really hard time throwing things out. So we are working on that :) He had a lot of invoices that needed filed. His computer also got wiped out last year so we are going to work on rebuilding his customers in the software. Fun fun! Ben has been working a lot also. He is off tomorrow so I don't know what we are going to do. Might go to church in the morning and then maybe go to Kyle and Liz's so Ben can get his haircut. I'm going to try to do better and keep this more up to date :)

Congrats!

So I know it's 11:30 pm on Christmas Eve but I just wanted to post a big congrats to our friends Kyle and Liz who got engaged tonight!! I'm so happy for them, they have been dating 5 years and she really wanted to be engaged and he kept saying no not right now. They just moved into a house together (and just recently had moved into an apt together over the summer). He did a great job at hiding this and she is super thrilled so congrats to them both! I wish you guys all the best!!

Labor Day Weekend

So lets review my recap of the weekend...much more exciting then I expected it to be...

Friday - out of work early...what could be better?! Maybe an exciting night on the town?? Haha yeah right...stayed home and watched TV. Oh how exciting my life is.

Saturday - cleaned, and cleaned, and more cleaning. I don't know what was up with me but I was cleaning anything and everything I could. Much organizing ensued. My traditional Saturday night included Liz, The Basement, Downtown Akron bars and to my surprise, my buddy Willie. There were way to many cops to count (as if I could really count them at that point anyways...) so we took the safe route and called Ben to have him and Liz's b/f Kyle come get us. They were none to pleased that we interrupted their pow wow with their friend Chris but came anyways. All in all a good and early night by our terms.

Sunday - cleaning and cleaning more. Still don't know what got into me but it produced good results and a full trashcan. Sunday afternoon when Ben got off work we went over to his grandpa's brother's grandchildren's birthday party. Now I must inform you that i had no knowledge of this birthday (and I guess Ben didn't either). We knew a cousin that we had seen in Arizona was in town for some training as mentioned before (and I was wrong, it was the one we met not the other one we didn't meet!) and that we were going to visit and have a picnic. What I had no idea about was the aforementioned birthday party with about 30 kids.

Definitely a shocker when we walked up to the house with homemade guitars strewn about, a pool blown up by the garage, a slide on the hill in the backyard and jammin' music. Needless to say we kept our butts in the basement most of the time with his cousin and the rest of the family. It really was a great time though and good food. Got bit up by some lovely mosquitoes though when they were starting the fire.

The Girls (Ava and Maria) with their homemade guitar cake

Me and Ben at the lovely affair

Monday - now really we didn't have any plans. Ben (again as previous mentioned in my last post) thought we might go to his uncle's house but we hadn't heard anything. We worked in the yard a bit but it was mighty warm outside and we were both spent after cleaning up the flower beds. Ben did go out for a little bit of mowing. I went to the grocery store thinking we would be cookin' out at home and don't you just know it that when I got home we got a call saying to come on over. It just has to work like that you know. So we went - hey free yummy food for a second day, bring it on. So we went, nothing exciting to report. No pictures either (yes, shocking I know).

So if you have gotten through this long update I applaud you. It was definitely a LABOR Day for us (too bad that's not really funny...)
